Meet our friendly reindeer and learn about Sámi culture during this authentic experience.
You will be welcomed at our Star Arctic Wilderness Center by a local reindeer herder, who will share stories of reindeer herding and Sámi traditions in Lapland. The highlight of the tour is getting to know our reindeer, feeding them, and enjoying a magical sleigh ride through the snowy pine forest. A delicious soup lunch at the Wilderness Center is included.

Please note
- Please wear warm clothing. We provide additional gear for extra protection, but it’s best to dress warmly.
- Please inform us your allergies upon booking, thank you.
- Ride with the reindeer sled (max 2 adults and 1 child per sled). The ride is about 20-30min long (depending on the group).
- If you are not a hotel guest and do not need a pick-up service, please be at Star Arctic Hotel Reception 10-15 minutes before the activity starts.
- The exact duration may vary according to the weather and the number of participants. All listed excursions are subject to changes due to any conditions cause by force majeure.
Terms & Conditions
- All weekly excursions must be booked at least 24 hours in advance before the starting time.
- All excursions are non-refundable and non-changeable inside 7 days before the starting time.
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if the booking is cancelled 7 days or less before the event.
