felltop adventures

Conquer Saariselkä’s fells and hills with snowmobiles, or go for an exclusive expedition on snowshoes around the fellsides and forests. Our guided felltop adventures cover it all.

Departuring directly from the hotel, these adventures offer an easy access to the surrounding landscape. Be amazed by the Lappish land and immerse yourself in the serene arctic nature.

When staying with us, you can also slide down our home fell, Kaunispää fell, with one of our toboggans. If booked and experience package, you get free access to our toboggans and snowshoes throughout your stay.

All our activities always include winter gear, including winter overalls, winter boots, extra gloves and to snowmobile adventures also helmets and balaclavas. For any questions, our activity team is happy to help you.

Wilderness Center

Our Wilderness Center serves as a base camp for most of our activities. Vast 33 hectar private area offers a perfect setup for exclusive adventures in the arctic nature – always guided by our professional local guides. Choose an activity from the list or let us tailor a private adventure for you.

From our Wilderness Center you can find our Siberian Husky farm, Reindeer farm, Ice Fishing lake as well as the Wilderness Restaurant, which is where we host our special Wilderness Dinner Experience. Find out more about Wilderness Center adventures from link below.

husky farm

Did you know that we have only registered 100% Siberian Huskies at our farm? Siberian Huskies are the ones with fluffy fur suitable for even the coldest of temperatures, and the colorful eyes making them the famous “hollywood huskies”. Our dogs are friendly and love to be petted!

They live at the farm all year round with our professional musher team, who take care of them like their own family. Our huskies are always well-trained for the season, but for us it is as important to ensure the sufficient rest for each dog also during the season. If you are lucky, you get to meet also our puppies during your visit to our husky farm.

reindeer farm

Our reindeer farm is owned by a local Skolt Sámi, giving you a wonderful opportunity to learn about the local herding lifestyle and traditions.

Unlike huskies, the reindeer live at our farm only part of the year, as for most part of the year they are roaming in the nature. Not all reindeer are suitable for working with people, but as our herder knows his reindeer like family, he has chosen the most friendly and easygoing personalities to accompany you at our reindeer farm experiences.

Outside the farm, we also offer authentic reindeer herding experience, where you can experience the daily life of a reindeer herder – feeding and meeting hundreds of reindeer in the middle of the woods. Sounds as magical as it is.
