Getting Here
We are located at the top of Kaunispää fell, which is just a walk away from the centre of Saariselkä and its services. There is an excellent transportation network in the area, both by air and land.
Airport
The nearest airport is Ivalo International Airport, which have regular direct flights from Helsinki (Finnair, Norwegian) and international flights from Frankfurt (Lufthansa) and London (Finnair).
The airport is just 28 km (30 minutes’ drive by bus or taxi) away from Star Arctic Hotel. We also offer airport transfers, which can be booked at the same time whiling booking rooms.
Train
If you prefer to use public transportation to reach Saariselkä from other parts of Finland, you can book tickets to the nearest train station which is located in Rovaniemi. There is a direct bus connection from Rovaniemi railway station to Saariselkä town center. See train timetables and tickets.
Bus
There are long-distance buses coming from and to Rovaniemi and Inari on regular basis. From Saariselkä town center, you can get to Star Arctic Hotel by our hotel’s prebooked transportation service or taxi. See bus timetables and tickets.
Car
Use the address Kaunispää, 99830 Saariselkä Use the address Kaunispää, 99830 Saariselkä in the navigator or the address of our hotel Ylämajantie 1, 99830 Saariselkä. Turn off the road E75 onto Kaunispää, which leads to the top of Kaunispää. When you reach the top parking lot of Kaunispää fell, immediately turn right onto Ylämajantie. The distance from the parking lot to our hotel is 200 meters. You can park your car in our hotel’s free parking spaces in front of the main building and the rowhouse.
